CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Ohio attorney general’s office is investigating the embattled Northeast Ohio Neighborhood Health Services, a nonprofit that serves thousands of poor patients at its healthcare clinics, over concerns about its finances and leadership. A lawsuit filed Wednesday in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court says the attorney general’s office launched the investigation after receiving a complaint about the organization’s business dealings. The filing seeks to force NEON to turn over documents and impose fines for refusing to cooperate.
