Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced that the Centre has approved 62 additional postgraduate (PG) seats in six state-run medical colleges and hospitals for the 2025-26 academic year. Distribution of New PG Seats Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan detailed the distribution of the newly approved seats on a social media platform. The allocation includes: - 15 seats at VIMSAR, Burla - 3 seats at SCB Medical College, Cuttack - 6 seats at PGIMER and Capital Hospital, Bhubaneswar - 20 seats at PRM Medical College, Baripada - 8 seats at FM Medical College, Balasore - 10 seats at Bhima Bhoi Medical College, Bolangir This expansion is expected to significantly bolster the capacity of these institutions to train future healthcare professionals.
