Oakland County man accused of sexually assaulting multiple minor family members

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – A 52-year-old Southfield man is facing charges after allegedly sexually assaulting multiple family members.
The Southfield Police Department held a press conference on Monday, Sept. 22, where Chief Elvin Barren provided details on the case.
According to authorities, police were called to Henry Ford Providence Southfield Hospital just before 1 a.m. on Sept. 14 after a 25-year-old victim reported an assault. She reportedly said she was sexually assaulted by a family member early on Sept. 12. She had been staying with Jason Justice and was sick for several days when he reportedly gave her an unlabeled white pill she was told was a painkiller.
She found it unusual but trusted him because he was family. After taking the pill, she felt tired and confused and texted another family member about it before falling asleep just before midnight.
She woke the next morning in the basement with no memory of how she got there. Police said she went to bed wearing a T-shirt, sweatshirt, and sweatpants, but woke up wearing only the T-shirt.
The family member she texted took her to the hospital, where tests found narcotics in her system. Police said the sedative is known to cause drowsiness and confusion.
When the victim returned to Justice’s home, she allegedly went through his phone and found explicit photos and videos of herself in the basement, timestamped to that night.
The family member who took her to the hospital took her back for a rape kit. Police contacted HAVEN to provide mental health resources for the victim.
Justice was arrested Sept. 14 at 7 a.m. during a traffic stop. On Sept. 16, he was charged with second-degree criminal sexual conduct, capturing and distributing images of unclothed people and using a computer to commit a crime. He was held on a $150,000 bond and is scheduled to return to court Sept. 29.
After he was charged, a second victim came forward Sept. 18, claiming Justice assaulted her when she was 14. She said he offered her $100 to send explicit photos when she was 16 and later accosted her during her junior year of high school. She then moved in with another family member.
Justice was charged Sept. 19 with second-degree criminal sexual conduct, accosting children for immoral purposes and using a computer to commit a crime. He was held on a $100,000 bond and was assigned a second court date on Sept. 29.
Police said a third family member came forward, alleging Justice groped and kissed her, put his hand in her pants, and offered money for sexual contact when she was 15.
Police said they have provided significant evidence to the prosecutor and expect charges related to these allegations soon.
Justice reportedly has a long criminal history, including domestic violence and police believe there might be more victims.
Authorities urge family members to talk to their children about potential inappropriate conversations, photos, or other ways Justice could manipulate victims, including drugging family members.
Anyone who believes they’ve been victimized or knows of someone who might is asked to contact the Southfield Police Department at 248-796-5500.
