Nudes of 15 Women, Hard Disk Full of Secrets: Shocking Case of UPSC Aspirant’s Murder | What We Know

Police investigating the grisly murder of a 32-year-old civil services aspirant say a hard disk recovered from the crime scene contains private videos and images of at least 15 women. Officers believe the accused had a disturbing obsession with collecting such content. The charred remains of Ramkesh Meena were found on October 6 following a major fire inside a Timarpur flat in north Delhi. As the police started investigating the case, a chilling plot came to light. Nearly three weeks after Ramkesh’s death, police arrested his live-in partner, Amrita Chauhan, her ex-boyfriend, Sumit Kashyap and their mutual friend, Sandeep Kumar. The trio is accused of murdering Ramkesh and then setting the flat ablaze to stage the crime as an accident. Despite her repeated pleas, he refused to delete the files. Investigators say securing that hard disk was a key motive in the crime. The device has since revealed private visuals of multiple other women, allegedly stored without their consent. According to the police, Amrita, a B.Sc Forensic Science student, was in contact with the victim, Ramkesh Meena. On October 6, police received information about a fire on the fourth floor of a building in Gandhi Vihar. After the blaze was extinguished, a partially burnt body was recovered from the room, later identified as that of Ramkesh Meena. CCTV footage from the area showed two men and a woman entering the building late at night. Further investigation revealed that Amrita’s mobile phone location was traced near the crime scene around the same time. The trio allegedly strangled Ramkesh to death, poured oil and liquor on the body, and then set the room on fire to make it appear as an accident. Sumit, who works as an LPG cylinder distributor, reportedly used a gas cylinder to intensify the blast and destroy evidence. Police have recovered a hard disk, trolley bag, the victim’s shirt, and two mobile phones from the accused. All three have been taken into custody, and further investigation is underway.
