NTPC Bongaigaon Wins CSR Health Impact Award 2025

NTPC Bongaigaon has been conferred with the CSR Health Impact Award 2025 under the category of CSR Preventive Project (Rural) for its impactful initiative on cancer screening and awareness in collaboration with the Assam Cancer Care Foundation (ACCF) — a joint venture between the Government of Assam and Tata Trusts. The recognition was awarded for NTPC Bongaigaon’s CSR project that successfully reached and benefited over 70,000 people in rural areas of Kokrajhar district through community-based cancer screening and awareness programmes. The initiative focused on early detection of oral, breast, and cervical cancers, and on promoting health awareness among rural populations through structured outreach campaigns. The award was presented by Ms Vimala R, IAS, Resident Commissioner and Secretary, Government of Maharashtra and Ms.Nikky Gupta, Founder of Teamwork communications at a ceremony held recently in New Delhi. Shubham Pandey, Asst. Law Officer, NTPC Bongaigaon, received the honour on behalf of the 750 MW power station. This accolade reaffirms NTPC Bongaigaon’s continued commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and its focus on improving healthcare access, preventive care, and quality of life in rural communities. The station’s healthcare interventions, including cancer screening, maternal and child health initiatives, and strengthening of local medical infrastructure, form a crucial part of its long-term vision for holistic community development.
