NORTH AUGUSTA — The first of the 315 new apartments at North Augusta’s Riverside Village are now leasing and with move-in dates starting Sept. 23.
SweetWater at Riverside has launched its leasing website for all three buildings developed by South City Partners, and although construction will be ongoing at two of these buildings, more than 50 apartments, those closest the river, are ready for moving in.
Marketed as “the most immersive building for waterfront living,” this three-story building just south of the Crowne Plaza is the one with direct access to the Greeneway. It’s also the one that will eventually have a restaurant overlooking Sharon Jones Amphitheatre.
The one- and two-bedroom units currently being leased here have monthly rents ranging from $1,564 to $2,809. This compares to the $1,400 to $2,500 monthly rent at its neighboring Ironwood, open at Riverside Village for seven years.
Ground broke last fall on the new apartments, and South City Partners, though it has until end of 2027 to complete the three buildings (or lose out on a $1.45 million inducement), the company has indicated from the start it wouldn’t take that long.
Construction at both Stadium North, the five-stories at the Center Street roundabout, and Lakeside, the four-story building closest to Hammond’s Ferry, has kept apace.
Stadium North, when completed, will have up to 87 apartment units, plus ground-floor retail. Per SweetWater’s leasing website, this building’s “ideal for sports fans, social butterflies, and those who love being steps from concerts and community events.”
