Nobody Wants This Airbnb Experiences Including Osteria Mozza Class

Fans of the Netflix smash Nobody Wants This that want a little taste of what life is like for the stars of the show will get their chance, thanks to a partnership between the streaming giant and Airbnb. Airbnb says that it is creating three Airbnb Originals experiences based on the romantic comedy, including one based on a scene from the upcoming season two, which returns to Netflix today. The show follows sex and dating podcaster Joanne Williams (Kristen Bell), who falls in love with a handsome and unconventional rabbi Noah Roklov (Adam Brody). One experience will include a romantic pasta making class for two at Los Angeles’ Osteria Mozza, a class that will be featured in the new season of the show. Another experience is based around another L.A. staple (and favorite of the show’s creators Sara and Erin Foster): Canter’s Deli, providing fans a taste of the history and stories from the restaurant, which will also be featured in Netflix and Airbnb social content. And finally, the platform gave 10 users access to the show’s season two premiere last week. Nobody Wants This is featured on the cover of this week’s The Hollywood Reporter, which dives into the origins of the show and its troubled first season, which despite its issues became a global smash. “The fact that I saw pictures of Halloween costumes feels like the benchmark of cultural penetration,” Brody told THR. Airbnb has been leaning on Hollywood stars and partnerships as it seeks to build out its experiences business. Brian Chesky, the CEO of Airbnb, told THR earlier this year that flagship experiences based on famous people, institutions or IP can help bring new people to the platform and help it accomplish its goals. The company announced experiences with Sabrina Carpenter and Patrick Mahomes, at the time. “We did a few homes where there was a celebrity at the home, and then at some point, we said wait, maybe we can just do celebrities without the home,” Chesky said, noting that as part of its new Airbnb Originals program, users will be able to book things like music lessons from up and coming musicians, or beach volleyball lessons with Olympic stars. “We had this basic idea that from an upcoming musician to Sabrina Carpenter and everything in between, that there was no gaps. Every stage of someone’s career, almost like as if Sabrina Carpenter was unknown, she could be on our platform, and as she becomes more popular, she can become an Original, and then eventually she becomes a superstar, and she still has a place in Airbnb. Why does she do it? She does it to create a one time experience for fans and really allow them to connect, and other fans can live vicariously through them,” Chesky added.
