In a viral Reddit post, a passenger revealed what the woman sitting in front of them did with her long hair during their 10-hour flight, and internet users didn’t hold back. The post, shared on Sunday under the username u/IWannaHideThrowaway, shows the poster trying to watch TV while blonde locks of hair belonging to the passenger sitting in front of them cover most of the screen, leaving the poster unable to use it. “This lady on my 10-hour flight” reads the caption. The post went viral on social media where it has so far received over 41,000 views and more than 7,200 likes on the platform. Genuinely asking.” Ach66 posted: “I don’t understand people who do this, and I don’t understand people who let this happen. I would demand this egocentric human being to remove the hair from my screen. What the hell is wrong with people nowadays.” Another user, Real_Performance_276, wrote: “I do it when I don’t want my hair to touch my neck but I don’t do it in public let alone on a plane where I know someone is behind me. People like this are either children/teen or extremely inconsiderate. It’s not gross or weird unless it’s on public seating.” When flying, especially long haul, respecting plane etiquette can avoid misunderstandings, and make the trip more pleasant for everyone. A stock image shows a woman watching TV on the plane. Generally, taking up space from somebody else’s chair by spreading your belongings around is not considered acceptable on a plane, where individual space is already limited. Other behaviors that commonly cause altercations during flights include shouting, consuming excessive amounts of alcohol, and reclining your seat without consideration for the person sitting behind. CNN’s guide to plane etiquette says that, before reclining your seat, you should always check that the passenger sitting behind you is not consuming their meals or using electronic devices.
