New Delhi: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has announced the launch of the official website of the National Task Force (NTF), established under the direction of the Supreme Court of India, to address mental health concerns and suicide prevention among students in educational institutions.The Supreme Court, through its order dated March 24, 2025, constituted the task force under the Ministry of Education to examine the causes of student distress, discuss preventive strategies, and recommend measures to promote emotional well-being in campuses across the country. As per the notice issued by the NMC’s Policy and Coordination Division, as part of its deliberations, the National Task Force has launched its website on 8th August 2025. The website serves as a central platform to gather diverse perspectives from key stakeholders including students of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs); Parents of such students; Faculty Members; Mental Health Service Providers; and Institutional Representative.
