Nintendo Announces Black Friday, Cyber Monday Offers

Black Friday and Cyber Monday are always good times for gamers to find deals. Nintendo is making sure it will be part of the fun this fall as it pushes its new system, although those looking to save money on new hardware will be disappointed. Here is a look at what the company is offering this month: Game Markdowns Coming The main event of course centers on the Nintendo Switch 2. Folks looking to upgrade from the original or get into the hybrid console world will not find a discount on the system itself, which goes for $449.99 alone or $499.99 bundled with Mario Kart World. However, there are some sales coming on hardware later this month. Beginning Nov. 23 (the week of Thanksgiving), select retailers will have these games available for $49.99: Princess Peach: Showtime! The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom Donkey Kong Country Returns HD Luigi’s Mansion 3 Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe A few games will also be available for the discounted rate of $29.99: Super Mario Odyssey Nintendo Switch Sports Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door Splatoon 3 What to Know About Switch 2 The updated console was released in June with a larger (7.9 inch), 1080p screen and a higher resolution available on compatible televisions (4K). It can handle much more sophisticated graphics, and players will find that the updated versions of some original Switch games look and play better on the new system. It also has a new Joy-Con2 controller with magnetic connectors and the ability to be used as a mouse on compatible games. Games exclusive to the Switch 2 include Donkey Kong Bananza, Mario Kart World, Hades II, Hollow Knight: Silksong and Pokemon Legends: Z-A. Later this month, Kirby Air Riders is set for release, while Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is set for release Dec. 4. The improved tech in the new system also means it can handle some sports games that were not released for the original Switch, including Madden NFL 26.
