If you’re looking to catch your favorite NBA team in action, you’re going to want your shoe game to be on point. I’ve got a pair of trendy Nikes for you, along with my honest review, that you can get for a good deal. Right now, Famous Footwear is selling Nike Women’s Pacific Sneakers for as low as $50. That’s 33% off the original retail price of $75. These lifestyle shoes are available in 11 colorways, but it’s the Off White/Gum and Royal/White/Gum you can grab for the discounted price of $50. At the time of publishing, available sizes range from women’s 5 to 9, and vary by style. This is clearance pricing, so if you love these colorways, you should grab them while you can. You can also grab the White/Blue/Red/Gum, Navy/White, Gum, Pink/White, and Green/Ivory/Gum for 25% off. The Tan/Black/Gum is 20% off. Available sizes range from women’s 5 to 11. Nike says these streetwear sneakers have the perfect ’70s vibe. They feature a puffed Swoosh logo with a mesh and suede upper. They have a wide collar opening, a foam midsole, and a herringbone gum sole. You can find my honest review further below, but here’s a review from one of the hundreds at the listing: “Love love love! Have them in three colors. They are super comfortable and literally go with anything. Get them, you won’t be disappointed.” Famous Footwear buyers give these shoes a strong average rating of 4.7 stars out of five. They praise the shoes for their comfort, quality, and style. Below are some quick quotes from happy buyers. “Cute and comfy!” “They fit very well, the color is terrific, and I actually got compliments from fitness instructors.” “Cutest pair of shoes I’ve bought in years! Not only are they cute, they’re extremely comfortable.” Nike Pacific Sneakers: My Honest Review Famous Footwear sent me a pair of Nike Women’s Pacific Sneakers, and I was eager to give them a test drive as soon as they arrived. What I Loved I love the design of this shoe. The ’70s retro flair is to die for, and the “puffed” Swoosh logo is somehow both cute and bold, yet simple all at the same time. Plus, the gum sole that wraps up the toe and heel is one of my favorite design choices. I actually own New Balance 327 and Puma Easy Rider sneakers that have the same feature. I’m a sucker for color, but for this pair of shoes, I wanted something super versatile. I got the White/Black/Gum colorway, and it’s perfect. I had no issue wearing these shoes day after day with different outfits. Jeans, skirts, joggers, you name it, these shoes work. “That’s great, Rachel, but were the shoes comfortable?” My answer to that question is yes. As soon as I put them on my feet and stood up, I said out loud, “Oh man — these feel good.” I’m not really prone to talking out loud to myself, but in this case, I did because I wasn’t expecting them to feel as good as they did. They don’t have a super thick sole with a foam stack that will have anyone saying “these are like walking on pillows,” but the cushion they do have is comfy. Finally, I found the shoes to run true to size. I’m a women’s 7.5 in almost all shoes, and that held true for the Nike Pacific. What Could Be Better So, is there anything I don’t love about the shoes? My answer to that question is very nearly no. I really like these shoes. They look good and go with almost everything. Each day, I was genuinely excited to put them on. I wore them to the movies, my husband’s belt promotion ceremony for jiu-jitsu, and to watch the University of Houston men’s college basketball team win their second game of the season. All that said, there is one small change I would make to the shoe: Widen the toebox. My foot shape is narrow through the heel and midfoot, and slightly wide at the toes. This means I tend to find the toebox of a lot of shoes to be slightly cramped. This rang true for the Nike Pacific. I found the toebox to be confining both horizontally and vertically. Outside of that, I thought the shoes were great. They were easily my top pick from my shoe lineup while getting dressed each day. The Bottom Line In my opinion, these retro Nike sneakers are a great buy. They’re versatile, comfy, and have style for days. Whether you get the white and black for easy matching (like I did) or one of the bold colors (like I want to), you’ll get a quality shoe that both looks and feels good. If your foot runs wide, you may find these shoes too confining. I suggest grabbing a pair and trying them out to see. If you live near a Famous Footwear store, you can return them for free if they don’t work out.
