Late last week, Jimmy Kimmel Live! was suspended over comments Jimmy made after the killing of Charlie Kirk. The show has since been reinstated (returning tonight), but not before people became concerned about the future of the First Amendment, and celebrities pulled out of a Disney documentary performance and canceled their Disney+ subscriptions.
Well, Americans weren’t the only ones concerned about the potential incursion on free speech protections. Over in the Netherlands, comedian Arjen Lubach, host of late-night show LUBACH, absolutely tore into the Trump Administration and The Walt Disney Company over the Jimmy Kimmel Live! suspension in a video shared on the show’s YouTube channel.
Arjen began by saying, “So, Jimmy Kimmel’s show has been canceled by Disney, because Trump and a helpful bureaucrat are silencing everyone who dares criticize him. Trump has broken the will of these companies.”
“Even a giant like Disney is scared of him,” Arjen continued. “Everything has to be exactly how Trump likes it. Everything has to be MAGA now. And when you look at Disney’s new plans, you can kind of see the results.”

The show then went into a satirical announcement from “Disney,” with a voiceover reading, “Our nation is changing. In order to ensure the continued provision of high-quality works to our audience, the Walt Disney Company acknowledges the necessity of adapting our content.”
“We bring you a whole new Disney,” the voiceover continued, as the Trump International Hotel Las Vegas rose from behind the Cinderella Castle.
The show then played multiple Disney movie parodies, starting with Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa from The Lion King singing “Hakuna MAGA-ta” in red MAGA hats.
“There are new stories to be told,” the voiceover continued, as they showed a clip from Beauty and the Beast that had been changed to have Belle’s dad saying, “Oh, Belle. You’re so hot. If you weren’t my daughter. I’d probably be dating you.”
Next up, Aladdin appeared singing “A Whole New World” while on a carpet ride with Jasmine before Aladdin was intercepted by an ICE agent and arrested.
“New songs to be sung,” continued the voiceover, as “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” from Encanto began to play, with the lyrics swapped out with, “We don’t talk about Jeffrey [Epstein],” whose face had been photoshopped onto Bruno’s.
“New sequels to timeless classics,” the voiceover said, as a parody of Inside Out appeared, showing a cartoonized version of Donald Trump and Anger saying, “Lock her up.”
Then they played Eric from The Little Mermaid, who said to Ariel, “Ok, I’m gonna grab you by the pussy. Ok. Eh… Where is your pussy?”
“Because not every voice needs to be heard,” the voiceover continued, as they showed Bambi’s mother saying, “Bambi, trans women are women,” before showing her roasting on a spit.
Then a Frozen satire appeared, where Elsa asked, “Olaf, you are made out of snow, right?” “Yes,” Olaf replied. “So that means climate change isn’t real!” Elsa said. “Yeah!” Olaf cheered.
The video continued with images of a number of parodied shows, with the voiceover adding, “Making our company great again with brand new adventures.”
Finally, the video took a direct jab at FCC chair Brendan Carr, with a parody movie called “Carrs,” with a silver car character with glasses who said, “I’m going to go suck Donald Trump’s dick!”
After the video was posted on TikTok, Americans did not hold back in the comments: “I love that Disney is getting dragged so hard internationally,” said one person.
“This actually makes me feel better, cos now we know other countries also see the insanity,” said another.
“As an oppressed American, I now realize I have to watch international TV. Got it.”
“This isn’t even satire in the USA.”
And finally, “As an American, I approve this message.”
