In a statement by Abdur-Rahman Balogun, Head of Media, Public Relations and Protocols of the Commission, Dabiri-Erewa described the appointment as well-deserved, commending Okuzu’s wealth of experience in banking, finance, consultancy, and education spanning more than two decades.

Okuzu is the Founder and CEO of EDD Finance & Consulting Limited and has served in strategic roles, including Head of Personal and Business Banking at FCMB (UK) Ltd, Non-Executive Director of FastCredit Limited, and Lecturer in Global Strategy and Sustainability at BPP University, London.

Dabiri-Erewa said Okuzu’s new role at the Royal African Society is a recognition of her remarkable contributions to advancing African enterprise, promoting financial inclusion, and fostering global partnerships.

She added that Okuzu’s appointment is another proof of the excellence of Nigerians in the diaspora who continue to distinguish themselves on the global stage.

NiDCOM congratulates Stella Okuzu and encourages other Nigerians abroad to continue to break barriers, excel in their careers, and remain good ambassadors of the country.
