Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have made a life change.
The Oscar winner and country singer — who met in 2005 and tied the knot the following year — have broken up, separating after 19 years of marriage, E! News can confirm.
The parents of Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14 have been living apart “since the beginning of summer,” E! has learned.
E! News reached out to reps for Kidman and Urban for comment.
Two months before their split was revealed, E! learned that Kidman had put in an application to become a resident of Portugal.
At the time, Urban was not listed on the form. However, a source with knowledge of the situation told E! that his absence was due to scheduling conflicts.

“Keith was unable to be in Portugal for this appointment as he is currently on tour in the U.S.,” the source explained, “and it is mandatory for applicants to be physically present in order to apply for the visa. He is scheduled to submit his application at a later date that works with his tour schedule.”
Kidman, 58, and Urban, 57, were last photographed together in June at a FIFA Club World Cup 2025 game in Nashville. That same month, Kidman celebrated the couple’s 19th wedding anniversary with a cozy Instagram photo.
Indeed, the duo’s romance certainly took off quickly after their first encounter at a January 2005 gala. And the “Big Little Lies” star — who also shares daughter Isabella, 32, and son Connor, 30, with ex-husband Tom Cruise — previously revealed that the “Blue Ain’t Your Color” singer wasn’t initially smitten with her.
“I had such a crush on him and he wasn’t interested in me. It’s true!” Kidman confessed on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” in 2017. “He didn’t call me for four months.”
Of course, that didn’t last long, and since the couple made it down the aisle and welcomed their two kids, Urban has gotten candid about the special connection he shares with Kidman.
“She’s the one that I was searching for my whole life,” he gushed on a 2020 episode of Dax Shepard’s “Armchair Expert” podcast, “and everything not only changed but had to change in me if I was gonna go that road.”
Indeed, Kidman has echoed that sentiment, adding that she’s particularly proud of the life the couple has built together since moving from Hollywood to Nashville after welcoming their daughter Sunday in 2008.
