Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield was less than pleased during the team’s loss to the Detroit Lions in Week 7 and let referee John Hussey know it late in the 24-9 loss. Mayfield admitted he was upset about a number of calls including when he thought the Lions should have been flagged for holding and later when a replay review that initially upheld a Buccaneers first down was overruled and later called short. “A third down defensive holding call that wasn’t called, and also I’m still pretty damn confused about the double review,” Mayfield said after the game. “A lot of things in that game that were a little questionable. “A lot of frustration at the end of that. Mayfield, who is on the MVP shortlist through the first seven weeks of the season, was spotted yelling at Hussey following the missed call, which could have given the Buccaneers a pivotal first down.
