After months of speculation, Bravo announced that season 2 of Next Gen NYC is officially happening. The network revealed via Instagram on Wednesday, October 22, that season 2 is “loading.” Bravo also confirmed that the full cast from season 1 will be back — and fans can see them in person during BravoCon weekend next month. The reality show premiered in June and followed a cast of Gen Z personalities — including several Real Housewives kids — as they navigated life in New York City. Season 1 starred The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Meredith Marks’ son, Brooks Marks (with guest appearances by his sister, Chloe Marks), Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Kim Zolciak’s daughter Ariana Biermann and her then-boyfriend, Hudson McLeroy, fellow RHOA star Kandi Burruss’ daughter Riley Burruss and The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice’s daughter Gia Giudice. The cast was rounded out by reality TV newcomers Charlie Zakkour, Georgia McCann, Ava Dash, Emira D’Spain and Shai Fruchter. Season 1 ended with Charlie and Georgia not speaking after a failed roommate attempt. Brooks branched off from his mom’s business to run his own fashion line and Georgia split from boyfriend Omar Zaki. Charlie, who taunted Brooks all season after flirting with his sister, revealed that he was working with Omar to raise money for a new venture. Since filming wrapped, fans have been clamoring for a season 2 of the Bravo series, which according to Deadline was the network’s most-watched series premiere of all time. The cast has also been hinting that there was more tea to spill with Brooks exclusively telling Us Weekly in August, “There are a lot of things that are unresolved from the end of the season.” The fashion designer teased, “Someone did remove himself from the group chat.” When asked whether the name started with a C, Brooks laughed, seemingly confirming that Charlie was no longer friends with everyone in the group. Ariana, 24, agreed with Brooks about the cast having “a lot of unresolved stuff” that didn’t get sorted when the season ended. “What’s exciting — and scary — is everybody is way closer than we were last year when we started filming,” Ariana exclusively told Us in October as part of the Reality Stars of the Year special issue. “We’ve spent so much time together outside of filming over the last year, and really got to know each other. I think the things that people could say could be a little crazy, because we’re all so close now that it’s like, we can really say anything.” Riley, 23, dropped a hint at what’s to come as well, telling Us in the same interview, “Season 2 will bring a little bit more fire and a completely new vibe. … No one’s going to expect anything that’s going on.” While fans will have to wait to see where friendships stand on season 2 — and what drama has bubbled over — one major change since last season is Ariana’s relationship status. Shortly after speaking with Us in October, Ariana announced that she and Hudson, 24, split after dating on and off since high school. “Sometimes, life takes you in different directions and that’s OK,” Ariana wrote via her Instagram Story on October 14. The following day, Hudson broke his silence over the split, revealing via his Instagram Story, “I still and always will love Ariana. She’s been there for me at times when I couldn’t be there for myself. I still have a lot of things I need to heal from and deal with on my own to become the person I truly want to be.” During season 1 of the reality show, Hudson and Ariana moved to New York together in summer 2024 and started living in the Big Apple as a couple. However, Ariana moved into her own apartment days after revealing their breakup on social media. Prior to their split, Ariana shared with Us how “nerve-wracking” it was to bring Hudson onto Next Gen NYC and put their relationship “out for the world to see.” She explained in early October that “you never know” what will happen when a romance is thrust into the spotlight. “I feel like it would suck to have to watch that back if we weren’t together or things like that, but it is my life,” Ariana added at the time. Hudson has yet to comment on how he’ll factor into the group this season, but Us spotted the cast together with cameras earlier this week — and Ariana’s ex was noticeably missing. Next Gen NYC season 1 is currently streaming on Peacock.
