As Nintendo previously announced, the next additional to the Switch 2 Nintendo Classics GameCube library is officially set for release tomorrow. Much as we predicted, the original Luigi’s Mansion for GameCube is arriving just in time for Halloween this year and all eligible Switch Online members with a Switch 2 will be able to dive in starting…as early as tonight. Luigi’s Mansion GameCube Nintendo Classics Just as we suspected, the original Luigi’s Mansion is landing on Nintendo Classics this month, and it will go live on October 30, according to Nintendo. You must be a Switch Online + Expansion Pass member to play it, and, as we detailed previously, the GameCube library is only available on Switch 2. When does Luigi’s Mansion release on Gamecube Nintendo Classics? Nintendo officially announced an October 30 release date for Luigi’s Mansion. But if its release is anything like the last two GameCube launches for Switch 2, it will be playable before that. What time will Luigi’s Mansion release for Switch 2? We know the GameCube Nintendo Classics edition of Luigi’s Mansion is releasing tomorrow on October 30, but what time will it actually be playable? These things aren’t an exact science, and while new digital Switch releases sometimes go live at 9 a.m. ET, a better reference point would likely be the GameCube Nintendo Classics game Nintendo released in August – Chibi-Robo! Nintendo announced an August 21 release date for Chibi-Robo! in the U.S. and posted to X in August 20 at 9 p.m. ET saying the game was “available to play now with Nintendo GameCube – Nintendo Classics.” Before that, Nintendo revealed Super Mario Strikers would come to the GameCube library on July 3, and once again tweeted the night before a 9:01 p.m. that it was now live. This indicates that Luigi’s Mansion for GameCube could very go live tonight at 9 p.m. ET. Congratulations! Luigi won a mansion…in a contest he didn’t enter? Unfortunately, his grand prize is infested with spooky spirits and his brother Mario is trapped somewhere deep inside! With the help of a quirky inventor named Professor E. Gadd, and armed with a nifty new ghost-grabbing gizmo – the Poltergust 3000 – Luigi must tough it out and come to the rescue! More of the latest from Nintendo
