Most obituaries published in the Reading Eagle are submitted through funeral homes and cremation services, but we will accept submissions from families. Obituaries can be emailed to obituaries@readingeagle.com.
In addition to the text of the obituary, any photographs that you wish to include can be attached to this email. Please put the text of the obituary in a Word document, a Google document or in the body of the email. The Reading Eagle also requires a way to verify the death, so please include either the phone number of the funeral home or cremation service that is in charge of the deceased’s care or a photo of his/her death certificate. We also request that your full name, phone number and address are all included in this email.
All payments by families must be made with a credit card. We will send a proof of the completed obituary before we require payment. The obituary cannot run, however, until we receive payment in full.
Obituaries can be submitted for any future date, but they must be received no later than 3:00 p.m. the day prior to its running for it to be published.

EAST PENN MANUFACTURING
East Penn Manufacturing Co. has announced the promotion of Rob Ott to the position of executive vice president and chief commercial officer effective Sept. 29, 2025.
In his new position, he will oversee all the transportation sales segments including: original equipment, aftermarket, private and proprietary brands, and branch operations; all industrial segments including: motive power and reserve power; and wire, cable, and battery accessories sales. Ott will also play a critical role in ensuring that East Penn’s growth is matched by an unwavering focus on supporting customers and strengthening the company’s ability to meet their evolving needs. He will continue to report directly to Pete Stanislawczyk, CEO.
Ott joined East Penn in 1996 as a sales trainee and most recently held the positions of senior vice president transportation sales and diversified products and divisional vice president of sales — retail markets. Throughout his career, he has advanced through increasing levels of leadership and responsibility, driving the growth of both the transportation sales team and its customer relationships.
Ott earned a B.A. in business management from Gettysburg College.
FROMM
Andrew Nairin has been appointed Business Development Manager for FrommConnect, the services division of Mid-Atlantic electrical products and solutions provider Fromm. In his new position, Nairin will work with area businesses and community organizations to promote FrommConnect’s services and pursue opportunities that support economic growth in the region.
Nairin joined the company after a successful career with Salesforce.com. As part of the fourth generation of family involvement at Fromm, he continues the company’s long tradition of growth and innovation in the electrical distribution industry.

DERMATOLOGY PARTNERS
Two new physicians have joined the growing team at Dermatology Partners. to its growing team. Dr. Christina Sun is joining Dermatology Partners’ Roxborough office, while Dr. Annie Jin is joining the practice’s Macungie office. Both are board-certified dermatologists with strong clinical and academic backgrounds and additional training in dermatopathology.
Dr. Annie Jin’s professional interests span a wide range of dermatological conditions and treatments, with a particular focus on dermatopathology. Her research on topics such as biologic therapies and innovative treatments for chronic skin conditions has garnered recognition and helped advance clinical practice.
She earned her medical degree from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University and continued her training with a dermatology residency at Temple University Hospital. Currently, she is completing a fellowship in dermatopathology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
In addition to her clinical and academic achievements, Jin is fluent in English and Mandarin, enabling her to connect with a diverse patient population.
Dr. Christina Sun graduated from Temple University’s Lewis Katz School of Medicine, where she also completed her dermatology residency at Temple University Hospital. Sun completed a transitional year internship at St. Luke’s University Hospital in Bethlehem, and is currently completing her fellowship at the University of Florida.
In addition to her clinical work, Sun is passionate about teaching and mentorship, developing curricula, leading peer programs, and supporting women in medicine. She is also deeply committed to community service, volunteering with underinsured patients and organizing health education initiatives for underserved communities. Sun has published extensively in leading dermatology journals, such as such as “Dermatology Online Journal,” “JAAD Case Reports,” and “Skinmed.”
