The 20 Best Workplaces in New Zealand for 2025 have been announced.
Great Place To Work, the global authority on workplace culture, spotlighted organisations nationwide in its inaugural New Zealand awards on September 18.
Rebecca Moulynox, general manager of Great Place To Work ANZ, says: “This year’s Best Workplaces in New Zealand awards demonstrate that culture is a company’s greatest strategic asset. When employees trust their leaders, feel proud of what they do and enjoy genuine camaraderie with colleagues, performance follows.
“These 20 organisations are leading the way in showing that a positive workplace culture drives both productivity and sustainable success, as well as innovation.”
Culture matters
The Best Workplaces are determined through confidential employee surveys and independent culture audits. Each organisation is also benchmarked against Great Place To Work’s global data set of over 20 million employee voices.
The recognition comes at a time when conversations about burnout, psychological safety and rapid technological change are front of mind for many workplaces.
Research by Great Place To Work shows organisations where employees feel safe to speak up, trusted by leaders and supported to balance wellbeing are better able to keep people engaged and performing at their best.
These cultural factors also help businesses adapt to generational shifts and embrace tools like AI, where openness to change can determine success or failure.
Reflection of heart and hustle
New Zealand’s property website realestate.co.nz is the winner in the Small Business category.
People and culture manager Kim Hamilton says, “This is both a proud moment for us and a reflection of the heart and hustle our team brings every day.
“At realestate.co.nz, we believe culture is built through care, fuelled by growth and lifted by excellence. This recognition celebrates our people-first approach where every voice matters, great ideas come from everywhere and values actually mean something.
“We’re happy to be in such great company and excited about what’s ahead for us as a team,” Hamilton adds.
