This week, we have a fresh lineup of OTT releases arriving on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, ZEE5, and other streaming platforms. Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra, a Malayalam-language superhero movie starring Kalyani Priyadarshan, premieres on JioHotstar this week. The list also includes The Witcher Season 4, an action-packed fantasy drama; Ballad of a Small Player, a gripping psychological thriller; Rulers of Fortune, a Brazilian crime drama; Breathless Season 2, an intense medical drama; and many more. There's something new for everyone to binge this week, from action-packed fantasy dramas to gripping thrillers. The Asset - Netflix Netflix's new Danish crime thriller, The Asset, follows a young agent who goes undercover and befriends the wife of a drug smuggler. However, the closer she gets to her target, the more complicated her mission becomes, ultimately forcing her to choose between her mission and her new friend's freedom. 2. Ballad of a Small Player - Netflix Based on Lawrence Osborne's 2014 novel, this psychological thriller, headlined by Colin Farrell, follows a high-stakes gambler who begins laying low in Macau when his past and debts catch up with him. His life takes an unexpected turn when a mysterious woman enters his life. The situation becomes even more complicated with the arrival of a private investigator. 3. Rulers of Fortune - Netflix The Brazilian crime drama, set in Rio de Janeiro, focuses on the power struggle within a powerful criminal syndicate, which is thrown into turmoil by two major events: the legalization of gambling and the emergence of a new, mysterious player. 4. Hazbin Hotel Season 2 - Amazon Prime Video Following Charlie’s victory against Heaven’s army, the hotel is filled with new residents. However, many of these new guests seek revenge rather than redemption. Amidst the chaos, the Overlord, known as the Vees, try to capitalize on the situation, using the tensions to their advantage. 5. Down Cemetery Road - Apple TV+ An adaptation of Mick Herron’s 2003 novel, Down Cemetery Road revolves around Sarah Tucker, a housewife, who becomes obsessed with finding a missing girl after a house explosion in her quiet suburb. She eventually teams up with Zoë Boehm, a cynical private investigator, eventually uncovering layers of a shocking conspiracy involving shadowy security service operatives. 6. Amsterdam Empire - Netflix When a coffee shop mogul's affair with a journalist comes to light, his former pop-star wife, who knows all his secrets, sets out on a mission to ruin him and take his empire away from him. The Dutch crime drama explores the darker side of Amsterdam's cannabis underworld. 7. The Witcher Season 4 - Netflix Following the continent-altering events of the previous season, Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri find themselves separated by a raging war. As they each embark on their own journeys, they encounter new allies eager to join them. Note: Liam Hemsworth takes over the role of Geralt of Rivia in this fourth season. 8. Bad Influencer - Netflix This Netflix mini-series centres around a single mother, and luxury bag counterfeiter, who partners with a self-obsessed influencer to escape her debt by selling fake luxury goods. However, their operation takes a turn for the worse when they attract the attention of law enforcement and a ruthless criminal. 9. Breathless Season 2 - Netflix The upcoming season of Breathless focuses on the hospital’s transition to private management, which intensifies the personal and ethical struggles of the medical staff: Patricia continues her battle with cancer, while Jésica finds herself torn between Lluís and Biel in a complicated love triangle. 10. Tremembé - Amazon Prime Video This five-episode Brazilian mini-series explores the notorious Tremembé Penitentiary Complex in Brazil, delving into the lives of some of the country's most infamous real-life criminals, focusing on the dramatic tensions and power struggles among the inmates. The series skillfully blends fiction with actual events involving infamous prisoners. 11. Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra - JioHotstar Rooted in Kerala folklore, Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra is a Malayalam-language superhero movie that follows a young, mysterious woman named Chandra (played by Kalyani Priyadarshan) with supernatural abilities, who becomes entangled in an organ-trafficking ring after moving to Bangalore. 12. Baai Tujhyapayi - ZEE5 Set in the early 1990s in the rural village of Vesaicha Vadgaon, this Marathi web series tells the story of a young woman who defies oppressive customs to pursue her dream of becoming a doctor. The upcoming series is a remake of the Tamil series Ayali. 13. Maarigallu - ZEE5 This Kannada web series follows Varadha, a Bedara Vesha performer, whose simple life takes an unexpected turn when he discovers a Kadamba-era inscription. This inscription holds the key to the treasure of Karnataka's Kadamba dynasty.
