Netflix has announced everything coming to the streaming service in November 2025, and this might be the best batch of new arrivals I've seen all year. There are hit returning series, new movies and even some highly anticipated new shows all arriving on Netflix this month. Top of the list, though, is undeniably "Stranger Things." The hit Netflix original horror/sci-fi series returns this month for its fifth and final season, starting with a three-episode volume 1 dropping on Nov. 26. As I mentioned, though, there is a lot to look forward to besides "Stranger Things." Guillermo del Toro's latest Academy Award contender, "Frankenstein," finally arrives on Netflix this month, as do a pair of other award season hopefuls in "Nouvelle Vague" and "Train Dreams." There's also the return of the hit show "A Man on the Inside," which is back this month for season 2, and the arrival of a new show that I've been hotly anticipating: "Death by Lightning." Aside from these top picks, I've got the full slate of everything new on Netflix this month listed below. Plus, we have a roundup of what’s leaving Netflix in November 2025, so you have one last chance to watch. New on Netflix in November 2025: Top picks ‘Stranger Things' season 5: Volume 1 "Stranger Things" is finally calling it quits after nearly a decade. Was it time to let the show end since the kids of Hawkins now look like they're out of college, let alone high school? Probably, but that doesn't make this ending any less bittersweet. If you've never seen "Stranger Things," the show is set in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, in the mid-1980s. This fictional town is home to the fictional Hawkins National Laboratory, which secretly experiments with the paranormal and supernatural, ultimately opening a portal to an alternate dimension known as the "Upside Down." That fateful action leads to chaos for the residents of Hawkins, including Will Byers (Noah Schnapp), who disappears into the Upside Down in season 1. He's rescued by his friends and a young psychokinetic girl named Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), but has still maintained a connection to the Upside Down as the show has gone on. Season 5 is set four years after the events of season 1, and the "Stranger Things" gang is headed into the Upside Down one last time to defeat the evil entity known as Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower). This final season is split over three volumes, with the first consisting of four episodes and releasing on Netflix on Nov. 26. Volume 2 will arrive next month on Dec. 25 with three episodes, and then volume 3 will conclude the series with a massive final episode on Dec. 31. Stream on Netflix starting Nov. 26 at 5 p.m. PT 'Frankenstein' "Frankenstein" might be my most-anticipated movie of the fall. This retelling of Mary Shelley's classic from Oscar-winner Guillermo del Toro stars Oscar Isaac as the titular Victor Frankenstein. For those of you who have never read the 19th-century novel, Frankenstein is a well-to-do scientist obsessed with the secrets of life, and that obsession ultimately leads him to create a Creature by reanimating parts of various corpses. The Creature, often known as "Frankenstein's Monster," does not develop a kind relationship with his creator, though. Instead, he's ultimately pushed to rage and revenge, and his quest for vengeance becomes the main thrust of the story. Del Toro is the perfect filmmaker to bring this story to life, and I cannot wait to see the creation he has wrought when this movie arrives on Netflix on Nov. 7. Stream on Netflix starting Nov. 7 ‘A Man on the Inside' season 2 "The Good Place" creator Michael Schur and "The Good Place" star Ted Danson teamed up once again last year for "A Man on the Inside." This mystery comedy show stars Danson as Charles Nieuwendyk, a retired widower who decides to spice up his life by becoming a private investigator's (Lilah Richcreek Estrada) assistant. In the first season, Charles goes undercover at Pacific View Retirement Community in San Francisco to find a missing ruby necklace. In season 2, Danson and Estrada will be reprising their roles from season 1, as will returning main cast members Mary Elizabeth Ellis as Emily, Charles' daughter and Stephanie Beatriz as Didi, the managing director of Pacific View Retirement Community. They'll be joined by some new faces, though, including Danson's real-life wife, Mary Steenburgen, as Mona Margadoff, a former musician and a key person of interest in Charles' latest case. Stream on Netflix starting Nov. 20 'Death by Lightning' "Death by Lightning" is a four-part miniseries adapted from the non-fiction book "Destiny of the Republic" by Candice Millard. This historical drama stars Michael Shannon as U.S. President James A. Garfield, who unexpectedly became the Republican presidential nominee in 1880 and subsequently defeated Democrat Winfield Scott Hancock in that year's general election. One person who felt they were responsible for Garfield's sudden rise to power was Charles J. Guiteau (Matthew Macfayden), a mentally ill admirer of Garfield's who ultimately would become the President's assassin. Come for the gripping tale of political intrigue and death, stay for Nick Offerman's beard as U.S. Vice President Chester A. Arthur. Stream on Netflix starting Nov. 6 'Nouvelle Vague' "Nouvelle Vague" is the French term for the French New Wave of cinema, an art movement in the 1950s and 60s that still influences how films are made today. It's also the title acclaimed filmmaker Richard Linklater has chosen for this comedy-drama, which retells the story of the making of "Breathless," a French New Wave crime drama by director Jean-Luc Godard. That movie is still considered one of the best films ever made, so Linklater will have his work cut out for him if he hopes his homages will be spoken about in the same breath as "Breathless." So far, though, the early reviews are positive, with the film getting an 11-minute standing ovation at Cannes and currently rated 89% "fresh" on Rotten Tomatoes.
