This is clearly not a huge deal from the regular $179 list price, but if you are looking to land a set you might as well keep the extra cash in your pocket. The question is whether or not there’s enough here to warrant buying them over the previous-generation set. The specs are largely the same, with a slightly upgraded look to the unique transparent vibe with thinner stems that result in what we found to be a more confirmable wearing experience, and hits metal accent details – the bottom of the charging case is now metal. Alongside the same up to 5 hours of ANC battery life (and extra 22 with case), as well as the onboard ANC and transparency mode (we found the transparency mode to be markedly better this time around and some of the best out there), one of the new features is the “Super Mic” – there’s a mic in the case that provides better call quality and noise insolation than the mic in the buds themselves, we just came away thinking it was more of a gimmick than not. They look super cool, feature a better build on the case, and sound great, but you can still land the previous Nothing Ear set and for $40 less right now.
