DAVISON, MI – ‘The wait is OVER.’ That’s how the message begins on El Charrito’s Facebook page announcing the opening date – Tuesday, Nov. 4 – for its new location in downtown Davison. “We’re so excited to share our brand new home with you all same family, same food, just a whole new vibe!” the post reads. Located at 203 N. Main St., El Charrito’s new home most recently housed Belva, a 5,000-square-foot restaurant and bar that opened in November 2022 in the former Chase Bank building. Known for its upscale yet casual vibe, 27-tap system, and basement entertainment space, Belva operated for under three years before permanently closing in April. It won’t reopen elsewhere. The new space will offer expanded seating and updated amenities while maintaining the same menu and family-friendly atmosphere. While the restaurant puts its finishing touches on the bar setup and awaits its liquor order, it will offer bottled beer and beer on tap. The restaurant will offer additional hours in the new space, now open from 11:30 a.m.-8:30 p.m. on Sundays.
