If you didn’t get a chance to pre-order the new LEGO Game Boy set, worry not, it is now up for sale at Amazon and appears to already be shipping. While it wasn’t scheduled to actually release until October, according to Nintendo, you can indeed scoop one up right now…but there’s also a deal live for Costco members right now too. Details below.
Just ahead of the LEGO SEGA Genesis Controller leak/official reveal, LEGO and Nintendo teamed up to reveal one of the more epic sets of the year for gamers with the new LEGO Game Boy.
At the time it wasn’t set for an official release until Wednesday, October 1 (it is still listed as officially releasing on this day in the Nintendo Today! app) and, while we aren’t sure if anything has changed officially, Amazon is already starting to ship the new brick-built Nintendo handheld.
It might be a good idea to go secure one now in case things start to sell out.
That said, if you’re a Costco or Sam’s Club member, reports are everywhere suggesting several warehouse locations across the country are offering the new LEGO Game Boy set for even less than Amazon. It is unclear whether every brick and mortar location has them in-stock, but Costco has them listed down at $48.99 and Sam’s Club is reported to be selling them for $49.99 – the LEGO Game Boy set carries a $60 list price.
