Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched Seva Pakhwada 2025 to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday in Lucknow on Wednesday (September 17, 2025). Mr. Adityanath said that under PM Modi’s leadership, New India is inspiring the world: from poverty alleviation to heritage preservation, and from pandemic management to diplomacy, the ‘Modi Model’ has set a global benchmark.
Seva Pakhwada will be observed from September 17 to October 2, featuring a series of creative and socially unifying activities. “It is a matter of great fortune that this special initiative is being launched on the auspicious occasion of Prime Minister Modi’s birthday. He is not only India’s most visionary and popular leader but also a global statesman. Today, under his leadership, the world is witnessing a new India. Once considered lagging, India now inspires the world with its self-confidence,” said Mr. Adityanath, in Lucknow.
Stressing the achievements of the Union Government over the past 11 years, the U.P. CM added, “Our country has achieved unprecedented success across all sectors: investment, education, health, agriculture, economy, heritage, infrastructure, and water resources. The life of the underprivileged, poor, farmers, youth, and women has been transformed in the last 11 years by an inclusive vision that has lifted 25 crore people out of poverty.”
Mr. Adityanath inaugurated state-level programs at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Scientific Convention Centre. He said Anganwadi workers would receive a pay hike along with smartphones, and launched health camps across all 75 districts, prioritising women and childcare. The U.P. CM performed Annaprashan for children and distributed nutritional supplements at a baby shower for pregnant women.
The U.P. CM also launched 20,324 health camps across U.P., which will conduct medical tests for free. Screening will be conducted for blood pressure, diabetes, oral cancer, breast cancer, cervical cancer, anaemia, and TB. “This campaign focuses on prenatal care for pregnant women, vaccination of children, and awareness. Nearly 507 blood donation camps will also be organised to encourage youth,” he added.
