WESTBOROUGH, MA — A new restaurant in Westborough has officially announced when it will open.
Brio 33 will open its doors within the first 10 days of October, according to a social media post on Wednesday. The restaurant said it has officially passed 99% of the final inspections it needs to open.
“This is a major win for our team and brings us one step closer to opening our doors,” the restaurant wrote. “With this green light, we can now confidently begin planning our Grand Opening timeline.”
Brio 33 will be located at the former home of Tavolino at 33 East Main St. The beloved pizza spot in Westborough closed its doors back in March.
The restaurant’s general manager, Abigail Winant, and executive chef, Kevin Sanders, worked at Tavolino for many years. They hope that Brio 33 has the same welcoming environment as its predecessor.
“The word Brio conveys vivacity and liveliness,” Winant said in a July Select Board meeting. “With our combined passion, the years in the industry, we hope to bring some brio back to 33 East Main St.”
The restaurant is also asking for applications to join their team. They are looking for bartenders, servers, service assistants and bussers. You can email teambrio@brio33.com to apply or visit the restaurant on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for an on-the-spot interview.
