New lending limits for Credit Unions come into effect today.

The Central Bank is increasing the home and business lending capacity of credit unions by 6 point 6 billion euro.

Home loan limits are going up by 30 per cent of total assets, while its a 15 per cent increase for businesses.

There will also be no need for a business plan for loans of more than 25 thousand euro.
