Netflix fans told to binge 10/10 thriller 'and thank me later'

Fans using Netflix have been told to binge a six-part 10/10 rated thriller and 'thank me later'. Only just released on the platform last week, The Asset has become one of the most watched titles among subscribers. At the time of writing, the Danish produced series is currently fifth in the top ten TV shows available on the service . According to its synopsis, the show's story revolves around the new intelligence service agent, Tea, who goes undercover to infiltrate a brutal criminal environment that has eluded the grasp of the intelligence service for some time. Adopting a completely new identity, Tea must befriend the criminal mastermind’s girlfriend, Ashley, to gather crucial intelligence. But as Tea gets closer to Ashley and witnesses the grim reality of her life within Miran’s controlling and criminal cobweb, doubts emerge about where her loyalties truly lie. What is a complicated mission is even more complex below the surface as little does Tea know but Ashley’s boyfriend, Miran, is quickly losing control of his empire thanks to the violent mistakes of his younger brother. The fallout from this will leave no one untouched. In the Facebook group, Netflix Recommendations, where users ask and offer suggestions of what to watch next on the platform, one person posted a screengrab of The Asset's title screen. They simply captioned it: "Watch this and thank me later." The post attracted more than a hundred comments in response, with many backing up the advice. One person replied: "Yes, I'm on episode four. It's 10/10. If you're looking for a six episode binge." Many noted that the series offers a different experience depending on whether or not you enjoy watching something dubbed, or if you are more comfortable reading subtitles. Someone else added: "It is dubbed but easy to watch. I hardly noticed after 10 minutes . . . it's a great series." While one person commented: "I hope there's a second season." With an 83% rating on website Rotten Tomatoes, The Asset also comes recommended from plenty other critics and fans alike. One critic claimed that the show is an 'easy binge'. Another reviewer suggested that it could be the next title to watch after fans finish the latest instalment of Slow Horses. They also went on to say: " The Asset is the 'extreme' Netflix crime drama to binge in one go." One fan who has already watched the entire series also shared their thoughts online. They said: "The Asset is a must-watch in the crime thriller genre." They continued: "From the very first scene, you become invested in each character and their distinct style. The pacing of the series is brilliantly handled in the writing. The background score feels natural, following the momentum and adding even more thrill to the experience." The Asset is streaming on Netflix.
