The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has opened the choice-filling window for NEET PG Round 1 counselling to offer admissions to 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats. Candidates who passed the entrance exam can fill in their college and course preferences on the official website: mcc.nic.in. “Choice filling for Round 1 PG Counselling 2025 is available now,” reads the official notice. The MCC has released the NEET PG 2025 seat matrix for AIQ, central internal quota, deemed universities, and final DNB on the official website, mcc.nic.in. Approximately 1.28 lakh candidates out of 2 lakh participants cleared the NEET PG 2025. After months of postponement, MCC has finally initiated the counselling process. To fill their choice, candidates must keep note of the following: — Candidate can fill as many choices as he/she wishes. Candidate can change his/her choice until the final locking. — Choice filing will not be completed till candidates finally submit and lock their choices within the scheduled time. — Choice locking is compulsory, if not locked then online allotment will not occur. — Once the choice is locked, it can not be altered/modified/changed. NEET PG counselling 2025 commenced after significant delays due to the pending court case concerning the NEET PG 2025 transparency plea. However, the Supreme Court is yet to hear the NEET PG 2025 transparency plea, which has been pending for over a month. Earlier, the apex court directed NBEMS to submit a detailed response within two weeks, and the case was scheduled to be heard thereafter. There is no update from SC as of now. Additionally, the Federation of Resident Doctors’ Association India (FORDA) sent a letter to the Health Ministry requesting to expedite the admission process, citing a shortage of resident doctors in hospitals across the nation. FORDA also asked for transparent updates on the Supreme Court proceedings. NEET PG Counselling 2025 Schedule There will be a total of four rounds of All India Quota (AIQ) counselling — Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, and the Stray Vacancy Round. All candidates who have qualified for the AIQ seats based on their NEET PG rank are eligible to participate. The seat allotment process for Round 1 will be held on November 6 and 7, and the results will be declared on November 8. Candidates allotted seats in this round must report to their respective colleges between November 9 and 15.
