Nebraska football's transfer production through four games

LINCOLN — Sometimes a third school can feel the most like home.
And among Nebraska’s 2025 transfers — nine of whom are starters — that’s the case for edge rusher Dasan McCullough.
The former Indiana and Oklahoma defender came to NU this offseason with the clear goal of returning to his roots as a pass rusher. He’d played that role for one year at IU before spending two seasons as an off-the-ball linebacker for the Sooners.
For the Huskers, he’s been a Jack linebacker — basically a standup defensive end who has some coverage responsibilities. What McCullough is tasked most with doing at Nebraska is rushing the passer. But he’s been solid against the run and leading in his room, as well.
“I look up to him just because he moves like a pro,” freshman Jack linebacker Jordan Ochoa said. “I’m looking to always get better and I’m looking to look more like Dasan.”
Said McCullough: ““It definitely feels like I’m just back at home. Back where I’m supposed to be.”
McCullough is one of four transfer starters on defense, with five-star transfer Williams Nwaneri — who redshirted last season at Missouri — leading the way in defensive snaps. On offense, there are three transfer starters and two special teams starters.
NU signed 17 overall transfers, two of whom transferred out in the spring. Of the remaining 15, here’s a look at their production. Snap counts come from Pro Football Focus:
