K-pop boy band NCT’s members Doyoung and Jungwoo are all set to begin their mandatory military service in December 2025. According to their agency, SM Entertainment, the two idols, who are also a part of NCT127, will enlist on December 8. The agency shared an official statement announcing the news about Doyoung and Jungwoo’s enlistment on Thursday. According to the announcement, after a basic training camp, Doyoung will be serving as an active member of the army, while Jungwoo will join the army’s marching band. Doyoung will enlist on December 8 as an active duty soldier, while Jungwoo will enlist on December 8 after receiving a notice that he was accepted into the army band,” the statement read. “There will be no separate events held on their enlistment day, as the venue is a place with a large number of military enlistees and their families. Please refrain from visiting the enlistment site for safety precautions. We ask for your continued love and support so that Doyoung and Jungwoo can faithfully complete their military service obligations and return with an even healthier appearance. SM Entertainment,” it added. Doyoung and Jungwoo in NCT127 Both Doyoung and Jungwoo are a part of NCT’s subunit NCT127. Alongside these two idols, the group currently features Taeyong, Jaehyun, Johnny, Yuta, Haechan and Mark. Taeyong and Jaehyun are currently enlisted in the military. The group recently toured 15 cities in eight countries this year for their concert tour, Nei City – The Momentum. Additionally, Doyoung also held a show from October 9 to 11 as a part of his solo Asia tour. What Do We Know About NCT127? One of NCT’s subunits, NCT127, made its debut in 2016 with its original lineup of seven members, including Taeil, Taeyong, Yuta, Jaehyun, Winwin, Mark, and Haechen. Doyoung joined the group in December 2016 ahead of their second EP, Limitless, and Jungwoo became a part of NCT127 in September 2018. Taeil was removed from NCT in August 2024 following allegations of sexual assault. He has since been convicted and sentenced to prison for the crime. Taeyong and Jaehyun are currently inactive due to their enlistment in the military. Taeyong is expected to complete his military service in December 2025, while Jaehyun is scheduled to complete his in May 2026.
