Nationwide issues announcement 'effective from Wednesday' for all customers

Nationwide has issued a significant announcement for customers and stated “effective from Wednesday”. The nation’s largest building society, which operates branches across Birmingham, has confirmed Damian Thompson’s appointment as its new Director of Mortgage Intermediaries and Partnerships. Damian, who has headed The Mortgage Works as Commercial Director of Landlord since early 2023, will transition to a fresh position with accountability for spearheading and advancing the Nationwide Group’s intermediary connections. His responsibilities will also encompass the Group’s additional third-party collaborations spanning mortgages, insurance, protection and investments. This will include overseeing Nationwide’s partnership with Aviva, who provide underwriting for its home insurance products. Damian Thompson, Nationwide’s Director of Mortgage Intermediaries and Partnerships, said: “I’m delighted to be taking on this new role at what is an exciting time for the Nationwide Group. “Intermediaries and our other partnerships are hugely important to our business and I’m very much looking forward to building on the already fantastic relationships we have with them and will be focusing on how we can further improve the service we offer all brokers, both now and in the future.”, reports Birmingham Live .
