Prakruti Mishra has been on cloud nine after her heartwarming interaction with Shah Rukh Khan. The actress, who became the youngest-ever jury member in the history of the National Film Awards, revealed her honest feelings about the surreal meeting with the legendary King Khan at the Awards ceremony. She was appointed to the Central jury for the 71st National Film Awards in 2025.
Shah Rukh Khan bagged his first National Award for Jawan at the 71st National Film Awards. Prakruti Mishra, who was a jury member at the ceremony, got a chance to meet the ‘Baadshah’ of Bollywood. Later, in a heartfelt post on Instagram, the 30-year-old talked about their candid interaction, which she had been waiting for a long time, and also revealed how his win “felt personal” to her.

Misha, who has predominantly worked in Odia films and Hindi television, shared a couple of pictures with Shah Rukh Khan from the event. The carousel also featured a clip, showcasing the most special “handshake” of her life. Alongside the glimpses, she penned, “When I was selected to be a part of the central panel jury for ‘The 71st National Film Awards”. I didn’t know that I would be a part of the team of 11 who would be responsible for Shah Rukh Khan Sir to get his much-deserved and long-awaited first-ever national award.”
She also cited one of SRK’s iconic dialogues and revealed that the candid meeting was completely surreal. “Being a part of this iconic moment makes me realise that ‘Agar kisi cheez ko dil se chaho toh puri kainaat usse tumse milane ki koshish mein lag jaati hai’. This victory feels personal because it gives every Indian artist the dream to hope, to strive and to win!” the actress added.
She concluded by saying, “Thank you, Shah Rukh saab, for inspiring us with your humility, hard work and grace. PS: I haven’t washed my hands since the most special ‘handshake’ of my life. Congratulations, Shah Rukh Khan Sir, on your first and most-awaited National award. It was an honour to have been on the panel and fight for what you deserved many years ago.”

Prakruti Mishra Reflects On Her Journey
In another post on Instagram, the actress also looked back on the memory lane and her career so far. Alongside the pictures, she wrote, “From the lanes of Odisha to the honour of being a National Award Jury at this age, this journey has been nothing short of a blessing. I carry deep gratitude in my heart for the unconditional love, support, and faith my people have shown me since my childhood.”
She continued, “Every role I’ve stepped into, every step I’ve taken, you’ve stood by me, cheered for me, believed in me, and shaped me. Odisha, your warmth has been my strength, your blessings my guiding light. I owe this recognition to each and every soul who has been a part of this journey, seen or unseen. This is not just my achievement, it’s ours. Thank you for loving me then, now, and always. Grateful beyond words.”
