Nashville Tornado Watch: Complete List Of Counties Under Alert In Tennessee, Alabama And Kentucky

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a tornado watch for most parts of middle Tennessee, southern Kentucky, and northern Alabama until 10 PM CST on Friday. The watch means that conditions are favorable for tornadoes to form and people in these areas should stay alert and follow weather updates closely. Alert Issues For These Regions According to the NWS Storm Prediction Center, thunderstorms developing across the region could bring large hail, strong winds, and possibly tornadoes. “Remain weather aware through the evening as this severe event unfolds,” the agency wrote on X (formerly Twitter). NWS Nashville reported that severe thunderstorms were already affecting areas such as Dickson, Fairview, and Ashland City, Tennessee, as of Friday afternoon. “This severe-warned supercell near Dickson, TN, is warned for damaging winds and large hail. Not much concern for a tornado right now, but it is entering an environment that is becoming more conducive for tornadic storms,” the weather service said. Storm Alert Issued The Nashville office also said that a line of showers and storms was moving eastward into the evening. While the main threats are strong winds and hail, a small tornado risk still remains. In Alabama, counties likely to experience severe weather include Lauderdale, Limestone, Madison, and Jackson. In Tennessee, the watch covers several counties, including Davidson, Williamson, Rutherford, Sumner, Marshall, Maury, and many others. A small part of southern Kentucky is also under the tornado watch. Get Latest News Live on Times Now along with Breaking News and Top Headlines from US News and around the World.
