It’s race day! The New Hampshire Motor Speedway is set to kick of the Round 12 of the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs on Sunday, Sept. 21. It’s the first playoff race at the “Magic Mile” since 2017, which was the last season that New Hampshire had two annual Cup races.

After last Saturday’s race at the Bristol Motor Speedway, four drivers were knocked out of the playoff round; Austin Dillon, Shane van Gisbergen, Alex Bowman, and Josh Berry all fell below the cut line. On the flip side, Christopher Bell, who won the first-round cutoff race at Bristol Motor Speedway last week, is the defending winner at New Hampshire. The No. 20 Toyota driver won in overtime last year after a red flag of more than two hours for rain. Can lightning strike twice?
