While eating out is almost always enjoyable, ever-increasing pressure on our wallets from energy bills and other everyday necessities means we might not all be able to enjoy an evening out as often as we like. So any opportunities to save a bit of money on a meal out are more than welcome. TikTok influencer Callum Ryan, who has 1.1 million followers on the social media platform and regularly posts money-saving ideas and travel tips, as well as other fun content, recently lifted the lid on how to save a bit of cash at one of the UK's most popular chain eateries. In the video, which has been viewed more than 766,000 times , and attracted 43,600 comments, Callum revealed a 'hack' for ordering food at Nando's . In the video Callum said: "This Nando's hack gets you a full meal for only £12.50. Yep, just like the good old days. "So, my usual order is a butterfly chicken with two sides, and that normally comes to £16.20. But here's the hack. "Simply flip over the menu and order two Nandinos kids meals. Each one comes with a chicken breast, a side, and a drink, so for £12.50 you end up with two chicken breasts, two big sides, and two drinks." Nandinos is the chain's children's menu, offering smaller portions of meals on the main menu. The video shows Callum being brought two children's meals, including sides, and two cartons of apple juice - maybe not the drink many people usually choose to order, but he's shown drinking it quite happily. He then picks up another plate and puts it all together to make one meal. "It's literally more food than my usual meal because I'm getting two drinks included and it's cheaper," he said. "I just grab a plate, dish it all up together, and boom, it looks like my regular Nando's order." Users were divided on the 'hack' in the comments. One wrote: "Every Nando's I’ve been to, they don’t let me order Nandinos." Another user replied, saying: "Say you have a small stomach and can’t eat loads they can’t refuse x." And another said: "Order on app instead and it’ll come to your table. They won’t be able to refuse the meal then." Someone else commented: "Game's gone now, either they put up the prices on the kids menu or they’ll make an age verification type thing, mark my words." And another said: "Only a matter of time till they put the kids prices up too." A different user wrote: "Crazy that getting a meal for £12.50 is considered a 'hack' in 2025." Another said: "Nando's is finished. Too expensive for chicken and chips/rice." And someone else joked: "The baffled look on their face when u order your Nandinos extra hot."
