A naked man stunned onlookers by running down a busy road with nothing on — before he was punched by a motorcyclist. The leather-clad biker is seen in photographs punching the nudist jogger in North Wales. One woman who witnessed the bizarre incident said she “could not believe” what she was seeing as she drove home from work in Buckley, Flintshire, at 11am on Tuesday, September 30. The witness, who does not want to be named began filming the incident as she sat stunned in traffic. A video shows an angry biker confront the unclothed man before then whacking him. The onlooker said it happened after the naked man ran into the road, nearly causing an accident. The woman said: “I couldn’t believe what I was seeing, he was running down the middle of the road. “At first I thought he had some skin-coloured tight suit on. It’s honestly the most bizarre thing I’ve seen on a Tuesday morning.” Police said they were not called to the incident. Public nudity is not illegal in England and Wales if there is no sexual context and there is no intention to cause alarm or distress, according to the CPS. But it can become an offence if it can be proved the person stripped off with the intention to upset and shock. The complainant has to prove this. Offences could include indecent exposure or outraging public decency or threatening. According to the Crown Prosecution Service “a balance needs to be struck between the naturist’s right to freedom of expression and the right of the wider public to be protected from harassment, alarm and distress”. In June 2023, a cheeky commuter was spotted walking through central London completely nude. The man looked relaxed as he strolled near St. Bartholomew’s Hospital in the Square Mile. Kitted out in just a rucksack and flip flops while carrying a takeaway coffee, he appeared to be grinning at fellow Londoners. Naked bike rides are a semi-regular site in city centres as nudists take their kit off for peaceful protests, charity bike rides or just as an exhibition of their rights to be naked. During lockdown, naturists said sexy celebs outing themselves as nudists boosted popularity of the lifestyle as their members grew. Ulrika Jonsson and Craig Revel Horwood recently admitted they like getting their kit off. But earlier this month, we told how top brass at British Naturism — the UK body for nudists — say young adults are failing to engage with the naturism movement. The problem has got so bad a documentary has been released to highlight the growing problem.
