BJP Tamil Nadu president Nainar Nagenthran on Friday (October 31, 2025) questioned why Chief Minister M.K. Stalin was practising “double standards and hypocritical politics.” According to Mr. Nagenthran, “Mr. Stalin had earlier claimed during an election campaign that the DMK would not allow people from northern States, who come to Tamil Nadu for livelihood, to enter the State. Did you forget national unity then?” The BJP leader, in a post on X, claimed Prime Minister Narendra Modi had only referred to DMK leaders often ridiculing people from Bihar in public forums. “You are now pretending to be a saint by posting about unity, but your attempt to create north-south divide through politics is futile,” Mr. Nagenthran said. Mr. Nagenthran also said people across India had seen the DMK’s politics of “mocking north Indian workers” at one time, then calling them brothers with INDIA bloc allies during the elections in Bihar.
