Nagendra Subrahmanyeshwara Temple: The Serpent Deity That Fulfills Wishes

Just 12 km from Warangal city, in Ukal village, Geesukonda Mandal, lies the Nagendra Subrahmanyeshwara Swami Temple. Unlike other Subrahmanyeshwara temples, here the deity appears in a serpent form, offering devotees a unique spiritual connection.
The temple began 40 years ago following a miraculous event. A local farmer dreamt of the Swami appearing in a self-manifested (Swayambhu) form on a mound (putta). With the villagers’ support, the temple was built, and daily worship started.
The main idol of Subrahmanyeshwara Swami with Valli Devasena stands on the mound. Decorated with jasmine garlands, the scene mesmerizes devotees and symbolizes divine blessings.
Every Tuesday, the Swami is offered a Panchamrutha Abhishekam (ritual bathing with five sacred substances) followed by a special floral decoration. Devotees from nearby and far regions gather in large numbers.
The temple celebrates festivals in grandeur: Nagula Panchami during hindu month of Shravan, Nagula Chaviti in Kartika and Subrahmanyeshwara Kalyana Mahotsavam in December month. These events attract thousands of devotees seeking blessings.
Devotees believe that worshipping here brings: Marriage blessings for the unmarried, children for couples desiring progeny, deep spiritual peace and mental calm. The self-manifested idol on the mound enhances the divine experience.
People of all ages visit the temple, especially on Tuesdays. Many have been regular devotees for years, drawn by the serene and spiritual environment.
Nagendra Subrahmanyeshwara Swami Temple is more than just a sacred site—it’s a place where wishes come true. Devotees leave with inner peace, spiritual fulfillment, and blessings, making it a truly divine experienc
