Nagarjuna is gearing up for his 100th film. The title has not been announced till now. Well, a recent report has suggested that the project will also feature his sons, Naga Chaitanya and Akhil Akkineni. They are set to make cameo appearances in the milestone movie.
123 Telugu has reported that Chiranjeevi will launch the project and many big names from the industry will grace the occasion. Naga Chaitanya and Akhil Akkineni are likely to appear in cameo roles. The Akkineni trio has earlier shared the screen space in Manam which is both a cult-classic and box office blockbuster.
Nagarjuna Akkineni On His Next Film After Coolie
After making waves with his intense antagonist role in Rajinikanth’s Coolie, the veteran star has officially announced his next film, tentatively titled KING100. Curious? So are we. Well, the announcement came during his recent appearance on the ZEE Telugu TV show Jayammu Nischayammu Raa with Jagapathi, where he opened up about the project. Speaking about the film, he assured fans that this film will mark his return to a full-fledged hero image. Nagarjuna said, “KING100… It has been in the making for 6-7 months. Ra Karthik is directing the film; he’s a Tamil director who narrated the story to me almost a year ago. It will be a grand film. Now that Coolie has been released, I will start working on it, and my next release will be KING100. It’s a nice action, family drama movie.”
Ra Karthik To Direct Nagarjuna’s Next
Tamil filmmaker Ra Karthik has come on board to direct KING100. Karthik is best known for his directorial debut, Nitham Oru Vaanam, released in 2022. The romantic drama starred Ashok Selvan in a triple role alongside Ritu Varma, Aparna Balamurali and Shivathmika Rajashekar. Now, with Nagarjuna’s 100th film as lead, Ra Karthik is expected to bring a refreshing flavour to the project.
Nagarjuna As Villain In Coolie
Nagarjuna’s recent appearance was in the film Coolie, which hit theatres on August 14, 2025. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film featured Rajinikanth in the lead role. He played Devaraja, a former union leader-turned-rebel. On the other hand, Nagarjuna played Simon Xavier, a ruthless smuggler with a haunting past. The fiery face-off between Rajinikanth and Nagarjuna set the narrative of the film, leaving audiences impressed.
