As many as 4,601 people have been trained in CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) in the district so far under the State government’s project ‘Hridayapoorvam’, a campaign aimed at saving lives and reducing cardiac mortality rates. The training was conducted with the support of members of the district’s Rapid Action Force, trained health workers, the Kerala Government Medical Officers’ Association (KGMOA), the Indian Medical Association (IMA), medical colleges, and private hospitals.
