New Yorkers hoping for a life-changing win will have to keep dreaming because no winning tickets were sold for Friday night’s Mega Millions drawing, according to the N.Y. Lottery. As the jackpot climbs to $714 million, there’s still plenty of time for New Yorkers to enter for a chance to win before the next draw. The winning numbers for Friday were: 11, 18, 31, 51, 56, with a Mega Ball of 24. One lucky ticket sold in Connecticut matched five numbers with a 2x Megaplier, turning a $1 million second-place prize into a $2 million win. The next drawing is set for Tuesday, Oct. 28, with an estimated jackpot of $714 million and a cash value of $334.1 million. Mega Millions drawings take place every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. ET, with ticket sales closing at 10 p.m. on draw nights. Each play costs $2, and adding the Megaplier for an extra $1 can multiply non-jackpot winnings. New York’s Mega Millions game generated $358,368,853 in total sales during fiscal year 2024 to 2025. School districts in Westchester County received $136,234,133 in Lottery Aid to Education funds during the same period.
