MVP Sports Girl’s U-11 Football Championship launched

The Petra Organisation, in partnership with MVP Sports, launched the 9th edition of the Girl’s U-11 Pee Wee Football Championship yesterday at the latter’s Giftland Mall location in Turkeyen. The event, which runs from November 15th to December 6th at the Ministry of Education Ground on Carifesta Avenue, will feature 16 teams competing in an initial group stage format. The competing schools will emanate from Region #1, #3, #4, #7, and #10. They are One Mile, St John the Baptist, Batavia, Potaro, Friendship, Den Amstel, Genesis, Waramuri, School of the Nations, Smith Memorial, Stella Maris, Tucville, West Ruimveldt, Marian Academy, Georgetown International Academy, and North Georgetown. Upon the conclusion of the group stage, the top two finishers will advance to the quarterfinal round. The eventual winner will pocket $100,000 towards a school project, medals, and the championship trophy, while the second-place finisher will walk away with $75,000 towards an initiative, medals, and the corresponding trophy.
