Musk claims Tesla (TSLA) has enough FSD data to 'expand production as fast as we reasonably can'

With Tesla having put out its Q3 2025 earnings results this week, the company also answered to investors and shareholders on a company conference call. On the call, Elon Musk and other Tesla executives answered questions and spoke to the health of the company. One such topic was that of Tesla Full Self-Driving (FSD), which Musk said has been progressing at a satisfactory pace. He claimed the company has enough data and its AI system have advanced enough that FSD can “expand production as fast as reasonably possible.” Musk made this comment during the Tesla Q3 2025 earnings results conference call this week based on the results posted on its investor relations website. It was there, in the opening comments, that Musk spoke to FSD and Tesla’s AI capabilities in relation to it. “With what we see as clarity on achieving… unsupervised Full Self-Driving… I feel confident in expanding Tesla’s production,” Musk explained. “So that is our intent: to expand as quickly as we can… our future production. I was reticent to do that until we had clarity on achieving unsupervised FSD, but at this point I feel like we’ve got clarity.” Elon Musk says Tesla has enough clarity on achieving FSD vehicles to expand production "as fast as we reasonably can." $TSLA #Tesla #FSD #TSLA pic.twitter.com/zz8yQUTi7P — Shacknews (@shacknews) October 22, 2025 The delivery of unsupervised FSD in Tesla vehicles has been a regular promise from the company over the course of several years, especially as the Tesla company aims to expand its Cybercab vehicles and services. The company has also sought FSD approvals in major cities, having announced earlier this year that it would expand unsupervised FSD to Austin, Texas. Musk’s claims about FSD ramp up based on recent data seems to imply we could see a more aggressive rollout of FSD from the company, but it remains to be seen as its business continues. Stay tuned to the Tesla topic for more news and updates.
