Mumbai Woman Shares How People Helped Her Fix Car Tyre At 2 AM. Internet Claims, ‘Ladke Hote Koi Nahi Aata'

Talking about the safest cities for women in India? Mumbai could be one of the first names that pop up in our minds. The City of Dreams is often praised for its women’s safety, consistently ranking among the most secure cities for females in the country in recent reports, including the NARI 2025 report. Its reputation for safety stems from its active nightlife, readily available transport, bustling environment and strong policing, which creates a sense of security for the ladies.
As we praise the city for its protection of women, a heartwarming incident has come under the spotlight after a woman shared her experience of how Mumbai people helped her reach home safely and find her a mechanic at 2 AM.
Mumbai People Help Stranded Women At 2 AM
In the early hours of Thursday, at 2 am, a car carrying two women experienced a tyre burst, leaving them stranded on a lonely road. What could have been a frightening situation amidst the dark instantly turned comforting when people around them stopped, assisted them in finding a mechanic and secured their safe return home.
Taking to X, a woman shared her experience during the night in Mumbai and wrote, “It’s 2 a.m. in Mumbai. Our car tyre burst. Just two women stranded and yet people stopped, helped us find a mechanic in time and made sure we got home safe. That’s Mumbai for you.”
