As the most-awaited Mumbai Metro-3 is all set to be launched soon, the stations on the last stretch are being readied. The Mumbai Metro-3 on Monday (September 29) unveiled the images of Kalbadevi Metro Station, stressing that it will be a new bridge connecting Marathi culture and fast-paced Mumbai. Earlier, the Mumbai Metro-3 released the pictures of Cuffe Parade, Hutatma Chowk, CSMT, Vidhan Bhavan, and Churchgate metro stations. In a post on X, the Metro shared the stunning pictures of Kalbadevi Metro Station, with a caption, “Located in the heart of Mumbai, this is an old, historic, and culturally significant commercial hub. The metro station has been constructed using the modern NATM method, uniquely blending technology and heritage in this bustling area. Check Pictures of Kalbadevi Metro Station The new metro station has been designed with sleek modern interiors, with an aim to ease congestion and improve connectivity for thousands of daily commuters. The visuals show multi-lingual signboards in English, Hindi and Marathi, to guide commuters to ticket officers, customer care centres, and exit gates. Moreover, escalators and elevators have been built for smoother access for passengers. The underground Metro-3 Aqua Line from Worli to Cuffe Parade will be the city’s first fully underground corridor, which has been built in multiple phases. Check Pictures of CSMT Metro Station The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) Metro station has a sleek, modern design with an arched entrance and a glass facade. It will offer direct connectivity from CSMT Metro Station to CSMT Suburban Railway via subway. With easy access to the Bombay High Court, BSE, RBI Headquarters, Gymkhana, Flora Fountain, offices, museums, libraries, schools, colleges, and hospitals, the station will offer great connectivity for commuters. Check Pictures of Churchgate Metro Station The Churchgate Mumbai Metro-3 station will offer quick access to Marine Drive, Nariman Point, Mantralaya, Wankhede, Oval Maidan, NCPA, Mumbai University, and Gateway of India. The Metro-3 has 27 stations, and 26 of those are underground, and one at grade that will link major business hubs, including BKC, Worli, Dadar, and SEEPS tech park. Once completed, the third phase will add 11 more stations, making it easier for the daily commuters to travel.
