Moxy Hotels Continues Irish Expansion with Official Opening of Moxy Dublin Docklands

Moxy Hotels – part of the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio – has officially opened its newest Irish property; the Moxy Dublin Docklands.

The opening follows hot on the heels of Moxy Belfast City, earlier this year, and Moxy Cork in 2024.

Rising 15 storeys above the River Tolka, the brand-new property, managed by EQ Hotels, brings “a fresh energy to the city’s hotel scene, offering stylish accommodation for business and leisure travellers alike.”

With 183 guestrooms featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, every guest can enjoy sweeping views across the capital city and Dublin Bay waterfront, from Croke Park to the Aviva Stadium and the Convention Centre. As a dog-friendly hotel, four-legged companions are welcome too.

The new hotel pairs comfort and industrial design with a sense of fun — think plush bedding and high-speed Wi-Fi. Every stay begins with a check-in at the bar and a complimentary cocktail or mocktail on arrival, setting the tone for a social, high-energy space designed for both work and play.

Inside, the first-floor lobby overlooking the river is a buzzing social hub with co-working spaces, leafy corners and eclectic furnishings softening the industrial finish. There’s a library to browse and a “Plug-In” zone for spontaneous huddles. A well-equipped 24/7 gym and dedicated ironing room keep routines on track, ensuring every detail is covered.

Whether in town for a conference, a concert, or a weekend of sightseeing and shopping, the hotel offers an ideal base in the heart of the vibrant Docklands. Its location beside East Point Business Park places corporate guests within walking distance of the IFSC, while there are easy bus, Dart and Luas connections to the city centre, Croke Park, EPIC Museum, the Aviva Stadium, the Convention Centre and the 3Arena. The nearby Greenway also offers a scenic 2.2km walkway and cycle route linking to Dublin Port and onwards to the Clontarf Promenade with the 3Arena a 15 minute walk.

Accommodation at Moxy Dublin Docklands is designed to be stylish, functional and full of character. The Moxy Sleeper Queen and Twin provide chic comfort for solo travellers, couples or colleagues, while the Moxy Sleeper King offers extra space to stretch out. The Moxy Sleeper City and River rooms frame skyline or waterfront views from sunrise to sunset. Families can choose generously proportioned Moxy Family rooms, giving everyone space to relax.

Guests in every room can look forward to high-thread-count bedding, quality bathroom amenities, 50-inch flat screen televisions with HD sound and screencasting, free high-speed Wi-Fi, built-in USB ports, and individually controlled air-conditioning — ensuring a stay that feels as comfortable as it is connected.

Food and drink is casual and flexible. The hotel serves a healthy breakfast each morning, while light bites are available throughout the day and into the evening. The bar at Moxy is the beating heart of the hotel, serving everything from a perfect morning cappuccino to transforming into a social hub of the Docklands at night – serving cocktails, cold beers and good vibes.

For corporate clients, the hotel offers flexible rates, a meeting room for up to eight people, and access to the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty programme, with exclusive rates, complimentary upgrades and points that can be exchanged with airline partners.

“We are thrilled to welcome guests to Moxy Dublin Docklands. From the sweeping skyline views to our atmospheric lobby and bar, we’ve created a space that reflects the energy of Dublin’s Docklands while giving travellers everything they need — whether they’re here for business, a concert, or simply to explore the city,” said Sinead Derham, General Manager of Moxy Dublin Docklands.

Commenting on the opening Brian McKeon of MKN Property Group said: “Our goal is to offer a unique blend of stylish comfort, playful experiences and business facilities that resonate with short-term leisure and business travellers. The Docklands’ dynamic spirit aligns perfectly with our vision, and we are delighted to welcome travellers from around the world.”

EQ’s Managing Director, Hussein Sunderji, said: “We are delighted to be adding our first hotel in Dublin to our European portfolio. The Docklands is a vibrant, fast-growing neighbourhood — home to the city’s business hubs, as well as a destination for entertainment, culture, and waterfront attractions. We are proud to be opening a landmark hotel on the Dublin skyline, where guests can look forward to a warm welcome and memorable hospitality from our team at the Moxy.”

Moxy Dublin Docklands is committed to sustainable practices, integrating eco-friendly initiatives such as energy-efficient lighting, water-saving fixtures, and locally sourced materials. The hotel also participates in Marriott’s Serve 360 programme, dedicated to making a positive and sustainable impact in the communities they serve.
