MOTTEP Celebrates 30 Years with concert at Hartford Memorial Baptist Church

Detroit – For 30 years, “MOTTEP,” which is the, “Minority Organ Tissue Transplant Education Program,” has been working to save and improve lives. To celebrate the program’s longevity in Detroit, and to help keep the program successful, a concert featuring a beloved Detroit singer is taking place this Sunday. Dr. Ramona Chapman, Program Director for MOTTEP, and former “Voice” finalist, Beth Griffith-Manley stopped by ”Live in the D,” to chat about the event, and explain what the program is all about. “This is an educational program that promotes the message of disease prevention, healthy lifestyles, and as well as organ and tissue donation. We are a part of the Gift of Life Michigan’s communications and community outreach department,” said Dr. Chapman. The main purpose of the program is to inform people about the critical need for organ and tissue donation for minorities. To celebrate the program’s 30-year anniversary, a free concert featuring Beth Griffith-Manley, will take place Sunday, November 9th, at 4 p.m. at Hartford Memorial Baptist Church, 18700 James Couzens Freeway. in Detroit.
