ST. LOUIS – Taking trips out of town for the holiday’s does not appear to be in the plans for most Missourians. Home for the holidays remains the norm in the Show Me State. According to a recent survey by Upgraded Points, 66% of Missouri residents plan to stay home instead of traveling between Thanksgiving and New Year's Eve 2025. More than 2,300 adults were surveyed online in September 2025. Those who responded were asked about trip distance, budget, and personal factors shaping their decisions to leave town or stay home. The findings show costs, airport stress, and family expectations are changing how people travel for the holidays.
