What do Moscow parties and Argentine tango shows have in common? An audience that goes to the same cosmetologist. We are talking about Victoria Lykova, a unique expert in cosmetology and non-invasive procedures. She is a doctor and entrepreneur who has managed to build a business in Moscow and repeat her success in Buenos Aires. Today, her name is known in the media, in scientific circles, and at international industry conferences. From her first clients to international awards Her “romance” with cosmetology began back in 2008. At that time, Victoria studied with world experts: she took master classes on injection techniques and studied the properties of Botox and various fillers under the guidance of renowned doctors. This experience became her starting point. It was then that Victoria realized she wanted to pursue this career seriously. Later, Victoria decided that she needed a medical foundation for her career growth. In 2017, she received a degree in dermatology and venereology, and then underwent retraining in cosmetology at the Russian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education (RMAPE), the largest federal center that trains top-level doctors. Such a powerful education gave Victoria the opportunity to work with serious techniques, rather than just providing basic care, unlike most other specialists. However, this medical foundation became the basis for another important contribution Victoria made to the beauty industry. The expert has developed a line of signature express programs that deliver results in just one visit. In 2023, she was awarded the All-Russian National Award “Best Talents” in the category “Best Innovation in Non-Invasive Express Cosmetology” for this innovation. Two years later, she was noticed on the international stage. The expert council of the prestigious industry award The Medical Stars & Beauty Awards awarded Victoria the title of “Best Cosmetologist.” These awards mean that the professional community has recognized her approach as a new standard. In general, it is worth noting that Victoria has always chosen the highest level of professional development for herself. In 2015, she traveled to Paris for the IMCAS Annual World Congress, the world’s largest congress on aesthetic medicine, where leading surgeons and dermatologists gather. There, she studied the latest techniques from world experts and put this experience into practice. In 2020, the talented cosmetologist trained at the Facial Aesthetic Conference & Exhibition in London, where the latest non-surgical rejuvenation techniques are discussed. It was there that she learned about cutting-edge approaches, which she later incorporated into her express programs. The following years were a series of international training courses: in 2021, Victoria mastered the advanced Fraxel DUAL skin rejuvenation program from Solta Medical (USA) and trained in the unique international MD Codes aesthetic facial correction technique; in 2022, she completed a course and received a certificate in cosmetic rejuvenation methods using Aptos Excellence threads. In 2023, she participated in the International Symposium of aesthetic surgery and cosmetic dermatology in Moscow. It is not surprising that Victoria herself began to be invited to share her experience. She joined the Eurasian Beauty Guild, became a member of the Beauty Industry Association of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and a resident of the KIT business association. She is also regularly invited to be a judge at student competitions held by leading medical universities, such as Sechenov University, Pirogov University, and Evdokimov University. There, young doctors present their projects to experts, and Victoria has become one of those whose opinion is particularly valued. Moscow and Buenos Aires – a salon that made it into the TOP 100 In Moscow, Victoria built the MINT LOUNGE studio, which within a few years began to operate at full capacity. A seven-day schedule, eight stylists, almost 100% occupancy – it was a business that she literally carried on her shoulders. And yet, success in the capital was not enough for her. Later, Victoria sold the project along with the services she had developed and her client base. In essence, she handed over a whole ready-made system of work. But why? To start over on a new continent. Victoria decided to see if her business model could withstand competition in Argentina. There, she opened a studio under the same brand, investing all her experience in the project. In the new country, she also started from scratch, only with even more difficulties. Victoria had to deal with promotion, creating a client base, and introducing injection techniques adapted to local demands. In South America, such cosmetic technologies were just beginning to gain popularity, so Victoria became one of the first to offer them. It brought her even more recognition. The result was impressive. In just two years, Victoria Lykova’s salon earned a spot among the top 100 beauty studios in Buenos Aires. Its doors are open to locals, eager to experience the unique charm of the Russian school of beauty; to tourists, seeking an instant transformation; and, of course, to the city’s Russian speaking community, who found a touch of home in Victoria’s salon. Science as part of profession Victoria shared that she sees cosmetology as a science. It’s the reason why she conducts her own research and publishes articles in academic journals – a space open only to a select few practicing cosmetologists, even those with years of experience. In 2023 her research was published in the international journal Current Research. In it, Victoria demonstrated that aesthetic procedures not only produce visible external results but also have a profound impact on clients’ psycho-emotional wellbeing- boosting self-confidence, reducing anxiety and helping to restore inner harmony. For the industry, this became a truly significant revelation. Since the publication, the pursuit of beauty is no longer seen as vanity, but as a way to enhance quality of life. In 2025, she published a paper in the Science Bulletin on the long term safety of botulinum therapy. This research is particularly valuable because it debunks common myths and proves that, with a professional and well-considered approach, injections can remain safe and predictable over many years.. Today, the renowned expert Victoria Lykova has become a true example of a woman who can do it all – and even more. She manages a beauty salon, builds a strong team, launches new businesses in a foreign country, anticipates tomorrow’s beauty trends, keeps her clients loyal, and creates an atmosphere people want to return to again and again. Victoria has proven that it’s possible to build a successful project in Moscow and replicate it on another continent – all while sharing her expertise along the way. Her studios operate under a mentorship system. Victoria teaches her staff not only professional techniques but also the art of inspiring others. Perhaps that’s why she already has followers – young professionals who see in her a role model of how one can be a doctor, entrepreneur, and leader all at once.
